This year, for the first time, NSW is holding state championships for players in separate divisions based on their rank. The club is going to run two qualifier sessions each with two sections, on Friday afternoons 24 and 31 July:

• Below National (National requires 150 masterpoints including 75 red and gold)
• All-comers (Open and Under Grand divisions)

These are red point events at double the rate of club red points. Pairs qualify for the relevant divisions based on each player’s rank on January 1 this year.

These will be 'normal' sessions, IE you do not need to be intending to compete in the championships to play.  You do not need to play in both weeks.

The Club will be supporting this competition by nominating and subsiding one pair from each of the three divisions to play in the Regional Championships on 26 September. The nominations will be based on the results of the qualifying sessions. The State Finals (online) will be held on 7 and 14 December (TBC).
