This year, for the first time, NSW is holding state championships for players in separate divisions based on their rank. The club is going to run two qualifier sessions on Thursday 20 and 27 August.
The divisions are:
- Under National (National requires 150 masterpoints including 75 red and gold)
- Under Grand (Grand requires 1000 masterpoints including 700 red and gold and 200 gold)
- OpenÂ
These are red point events at double the rate of club red points. Teams qualify for the relevant divisions based on each player’s rank on January 1 this year.
Teams must play in both weeks.
The Club will be supporting this competition by nominating and subsiding one team from each of the three divisions to play in the Regional Championships on 27 September at SBC. The nominations will be based on the results of the qualifying sessions. The State Finals (online) will be held on 4 - 6 December.
This is the first opportunity for members with a rank below National to participate against peers in a state championship. Sign up on the booking sheet.
